VATS issues

VATS issues Previous owner on my 93 LT1 TA had the security light deal where the car wouldn't start, so he did the resistor mod and it worked out finr. Then last week it woudn't crank for me.
I pulled the underhood IGN fuse and put it back in, and it cranked fine.
Fast forward to the other night, does it again, but this time the light stayed on, and nothing I did made any difference. Pulling the ECM fuse inside makes the light go out, but it comes back on as soon as I put the key in and turn it. The fuel pump primes, but when I turn the key, NOTHIING! Some of the lights go out in the dash, like when you're normally starting the car, but NOTHING happens!
Pulled the lower dash panel thinking the resistor worked it's way out, NOPE resistor still in place. Gotta get the multimeter out, and check the key, and re and the resistor(s) can the pellet value change, or could there be soemthing else wrong?
What else can I check/bypass to get this thing running again?
