Eprom installation So I had Alvin at pcmforless tune me an eprom and I guess he hasn't checked his mail because he was suppose to be sending me instructions for installation. Well nontheless the mechanic wants to fire the car but thats hard to do with out the eprom installed. So does anyone know how this goes in between the chip and the computer. Directions would be great.

If it's like the old (87) style chips
unbolt the cover, remove the old eprom, install the new one, it only lines up one way, push it down to seat it, and you're done

On the solder joints of the board for the IC chip (EEPROM), find the one that's a square. This is the spot for pin 1 of the EEPROM.
Now, find pin 1 of the EEPROM (should have an identifier, like a "1" or a line on the top or bottom of the chip) and match it to the square. Done.
