I bought a PCM (part # 12200411), for an LS1/6 on ebay and I think it has no program in it. I'm taking it to the local Delphi parts wherhouse tomorrow because they have a Tech 2 scanner/programer and I want them to scan it and hopefully install a basic LS1/6 program in it. I hope to eventually run an LS7 with a 24X reluctor with this PCM. What should I have installed in this PCM for starters so I can reprogram it with HPtuners or some other programing software? Can they even install a VIN and a program with a Tech 2? What else should I tell the guy who connects it to the Tech 2? I had him scan a PCM just like this one before so I would know what it was for but I am a little fuzzy on what they can and can't do.

 

The PCM did have a program and VIN in it but I got my buddy at the AC Delco parts wherhouse to reflash it to the same VIN as in my other PCM, 2001 5.7 L Camaro, that is currently running my GMW-CSL. Now at least I know where I'm starting from if I buy HPtuners or one of the other program software.
