downloading binary files for LS7??
If so, after I download these bin. files, can I then download them to my 2001, LS1 PCM?
Also LS2/7 "binaries" are encrypted... if they're read by HP Tuners to start.. only HP Tuners can read them
Also... the LS2/7 files use 1mb of space... whereas the LS1 PCM (at least through 03) only uses 512kb so not possible
As long as your sensors are ls1 based it doenst matter about the displacement or cam. You can just tune that in.
You can just make your own baseline VE table and spark table up. Use a stock tune for something like a z06 with the displacement configured correctly and auto or manual depending on what you have and I bet it starts ok. Then tune from there.
If you can view an LS7 tune you might be able to copy some of the tables over, but the basecode will be different.
I would assume you could put the 24 tooth reluctor wheel in... but would require pulling the motor apart and hoping it goes back together with the same tolerances...
Also the way the 06+ LS2/LS7 calculates airflow and timing is different than the LS1 so can't really copy alot of tables over
I may be totally off base here... hopefully someone w/first hand experience can chime in and correct me if I'm wrong
