Weird Problem

Thought I'd give this a try in here...
The car will randomly not start. When you put the key in nothing, no noises, no gauges, etc. Car will not turn over at all.

I had this same problem Saturday and fixed it(for the time being), by disconnecting the battery for 15 mins or so and then it started right up
I did this again tonight and it started right up

Any ideas on what the real problem here is?

Is the battery cable loose or frayed?
Are you throwing any codes?

security light does not come on.
battery cable does not look loose or frayed...cleaned it the first time it happened
throwing codes from no cats, egr and air
