Default Readiness Flags?

I scanned the computor and had code P0420 come up, then deleted the codes. Anyway, I know that there are readiness flags that are now set to "not ready". How many miles do I have to drive, or times that I have to start the car, before they are set to ready? Thanks for any help.

Default

P0420 is usually a toasted drivers side cat, covered under the federal emissions warranty. Don't know if it resets any readiness codes, but think it comes on on the third? cold ignition cycle with a failure. If you're getting ready to take it in for inspection you'll need to fix the problem. Lots of threads on this code - search for P0420.
