Security light related to longtubes?

Security light related to longtubes?

I had my longtube headers installed this past teusday. Today ( thursday) my security light popped on. Could these two be related , or is my secrurity really messed up?

not likely...the security light is related to the VATS system. your key might have gotten dirty (the little resistor part) or the ignition cylinder might be showing some wear (reading the wrong resistance). happened on my '99 and i couldn't get the f**ker to start. had to replace he ignition cylinder and get a new key...

I was readin that about the VATS. Also, my remote does not work anymore, stopped a few months ago, could that be related? Did you just get a new key from the dealer?
