Getting tuned? I am new to the LS1 area, I have owned nothing but big trucks and stuff pre Computer crap. So what all does a tune consist off? How much does it cost and were would An Ideal place to go? I live in the Shitty state of Va so help would be greatfull if you have. Lol. Thanks
It usually consists of a tuner using a sort of tuning software, such as HP tuners. Which is software they have on a laptop and they hook up to your car and run it on the dyno. They weld in a 02 bung in your exhaust to get the air/fuel ratio for tuning. They add timing, raise rev limiters, alot of other stuff to help make more power. I cant tell you everything because I'm not a tuner but I just know that they do that stuff. Typicall it runs anywhere from 400-600$ depending on how much dyno time you need, if you foul out any spark plugs if your running very bad etc. Look in your phone book and look for local performance shops and ask if they offer dyno tuning.

I live in Missouri and I got my tune from a private individual for $200.
