You know....being that the geometry changes when using aftermarket rockers, it wouldn't surprise me to know that the push rods could deflect at high rpm since the rocker arm is loading the pushrod differently than what it was designed for. Especially a long slender rod such as a push rod. It doesn't take much load in a slightly different direction on a long skinny rod to make it deflect.

In 16 years of designing mechanical equipment (not engines), I've learned the hard way not to jack with the loading long skinny rods. Any side load at all and they'll deflect.

I think 11SecdWs6 was giving your some additional theory as to why you should put the stock rockers back on. Don't try to bandaid the problem...eliminate it!

If your spark and fuel are ok as discussed look elsewhere. Tune likely isnt the problem.

Thanks guys. We are going to put the Stock Rockers back on...

Comp Cams States that it's improper Pushrod length that's causing the problem with their rockers. They clearly state that the 1.75 Pro Maginum Rockers will handle high lift cams and Agressive lopes.

Im very interested as well because i have the same cam and was acctually thinking of going with the 1.75 rockers too. But if theres a problem, then ill stick to my stockers (or get a bigger cam!!!)

UPDATE...

The Pushrod Length was the Reason..

Put in 7.375" and solved all issues.. Then the Comp Cam Roller Rocker..poly-lock or set screw busted, also several were very loose. We installed the stock rockers back on and did a warranty claim on the Comp Roller Rockers..

Car feels stronger than ever.. Going to redyno..
