Default 383 stroker only cranks with a scanner pluged in????wtf

i finished installing my 383 forged stoker...with heads and cam....and when i went to crank it it made a stattic sound like if was a spark or a starter sound....i tought it was a bad ground somewhere!!! i double checked everything and everything was good....i went to autozone to get the scanner to see what codes it will give me....when we plugged it in the sound went away and it fired right up....but when i take the gas pedal off it turns off...but if i keep it on at idle it will stay on.....the scanner doesnt even come on its off the hole time so it doesnt even give me any codes!!! do i need a tunning???

If the scanner isn't coming on check your "CIG/ACCY" fuse to make sure you have power to the DLC.

It's in the main fuse block inside the car, mines #11. Mine blew once and my predator wouldn't fire up.
