Default Car runs poorly with MAF Translator.

Its a 2000 SS Camaro with these mods..

Thunder Racing 224/224 cam
Comp 918 springs
Thunder push rods
ASP pulley
SLP longtube headers
off-road Y-pipe
3.5" driveshaft
Moser 12 bolt w/4.10's
Basic tune by Next Level Performance/Norris Motorsports

When I connect the MAF when its sitting it idles like crap. I have no idea what setting are on the MAF and I do not have a computer to check it out. What should I do?

I see a MAF translator as a bandaid. I would suggest getting a full tune otherwise you will never be happy with it.

I do not recall the exact car if we tuned it, but why would there be a MAF translator used if we did a tune. In any case, making any changes to a translator without knowing the data from the PCM is a better possibilty of making things worse. But in reading the last sentence in the post:

"When I connect the MAF when its sitting it idles like crap."

This makes it sound like that with the MAF disconnected it idles fine, and then connected it idles poorly. If this is the case then it could be a faulty MAF sensor or connection. Either way some PCM data is needed for diagnosis. We can try to get you fixed up if need be.
