SD Custom OS I have EFILive Personal Scan and Tune. I've been tuning my dad's 02 SS and my 98 Trans Am in speed density mode, but I've heard there is a custom operating system for speed density mode. Does anybody know what the benefits of the Custom Speed Density OS would be and where I could download it from? I've also heard that a Custom OS can't be used with the Personal Scan and Tune, is this true?

What would be the benefits of getting a Custom OS for speed density. Could I change my 98 OS to an 02 OS with the commercial version or would I also need to make some mechancal changes to my car.

You can do your Dad's though with custom OS. You just need to get someone with a commercial or workshop to flash it in for you, or just upgrade yours as mentioned.
Benefit is dual spark maps and spark scaler work in SD mode. Normally it fails to low octane with no spark scaling. Plus fully commanded AFR over all map points, and NOS support as well as Valet mode, Plus alpha-n fueling, etc, etc basically lots of benefits.

Exactly what ringram said. You can run SD in your 02 without a custom OS though. You just don't have the benefits of a high/low octane table or other features. Either way I can help you out if you are interested.
