Default Chip in key bad?

Has anyone ever had the problem of the stupid POS chip in their key go bad or not start the car? My car wont start and the battery is awesome(Redtop) and i have a month old starter. The key goes in and it turns over and clicks just like its the starter, but it will RANDOMLY start....its been doing this for about a month now. Now it seems its more frequent....sometimes i wiggle the key back and forth(to start and not to start) it will like "catch" or something and start the car....I think its the ignition or could it be the chip in the key? Someone please help!!! This is KILLING ME!!!!!!!

If it's a problem with the vats/passkey sytem it won't do anything when you turn the key, doesn't sound like that's your problem. Check all your starter/battery grounds to make sure there are no loose connections.
