Default Best Bung location with headers already installed on C5

Dynatechs already on car. About the only location where I can add a bung would be bottom of collector. Anyone with any experience installing bungs after headers on, please come on in.

Do not want to remove headers!

I have LG long tubes and mounted mine right after the X-pipe and before the cat-back. It works real well and doesn't get too hot.

Mounting on the bottom is not recommended because the sensor could get contaminated with oil, fuel and water from condensation, not to mention ground clearance.

I know but was not sure what other options I had. I had a shop look at welding onto the collector but to get bead all the way around the weld, bung was almost pointing directly down. Definitely not my 1st choice.

Really just looking for a better way than having to remove 02 sensor every time I need to tune. Figure sooner or later, I will destroy the wire lead.

You could also install a WBO2 that can simulate a narrow band. The LC-1's can do this.

I installed mine in the front of the CAT. Just drop the center section and weld the bung in the angled part of the CAT.
