Default spark tables

have a 02 WS6, A4 w/2800 stall, intake, 2.5" duals, and new 220/224 .555, 114 lsa cam and will be tuning w/wideband shooting for 12.7~ WOT, 13.0~ part throttle and 14.7 idle, should I use stock spark tables to begin tuning or bump them up a couple of degrees as have read...
does this sound right...or have I missed something somewhere???
any help will be appreciated!

How are you intending to get 13.0 AFR at part throttle? unless you turn off your fuel trims the PCM is going to aim for 14.7 AFR everywhere apart from PE.

I started with stock spark tables, tuned the VE, then played with timing and then retuned VE, seemed to work fine for me. I guess everyone has their own opinions as there is no book as such to follow.

If you are using the custom Os number 3 of efilive you can select what ever AFR you want anywhere in the tune. Which is good for gas mileage tunes as well. It works much better than a lean cruise modes.

As for the spark question, you can change it at any time you want or in any order, it is up to you, BUT remember, when you are changing spark, it directly effects your fueling also, due to the power change made by the spark change.
