EFI live Help activation code?
EFI live Help activation code? Hi guys i bought another users efi live, there are 3 or 4 open slots for pcm's on it and i went to flash my pcm and i said i needed to add it for licensing or somthing. so i go to license it and it asks me for an activation code....whats my activation code or where can i find it lol.
I hope i did not get screwed.

prolly get a faster response if you email the folks at EFI Live ... be sure to include your name, previous owner, and your serial number (I believe it should be stamped on the outside of the box somewhere)
Also check around the software... I believe there's a way to find out how many free slots you have left in the cable

When you go to flash a car/truck for the first time it will basically prompt you to license the PCM, basically using one of the slots on the cable. Perhaps that was the message you were seeing?
Anyway, in the Tune Tool if you go to the Help -> FlashScan PCM Licensing... menu it will show you the slots and the PCM ID that is registered in that slot. Hopefully you will have some that are open - otherwise you will need to purchase new PCM licenses which are US$99 each.

Weird. Make sure you enter the details from the blue card exactly. If there is no name on the card then don't enter yours for example.
You should expect to get a message telling you that you need to license your PCM when you attempt to flash to a new PCM (just the first time).

I think he bought someone else's efilive. If the first 2 slots are filled and no licenses have been added by either yourself or the previous owner. You will have to stump up another $99 for another license. Can you send a screenshot of the licensing page Tordne mentioned that will tell us for sure.
