Default slp traction control module....

Some cars come with ASR or TCS, which is a button you can press to turn off the tractoin control of your PCM, which left alone cuases the car to bog when the tires spin too much, just push the button and now your able to spin the tires without bogging. the slp traction control module is the same system as the ASR or TCS, however, im having trouble installing it. There seems to be no button on the module and the directions are aweful. can anybody help me with this system?

But this module system creates the same affect as TCS or ASR... so why would anybody buy it if they already had TCS or ASR?? they wouldnt... only people who would buy is it poeople without the TCS/ASR button, which is me.

I use it (slp traction control module.... ) works great what it does is reverce the action of the traction control button, when you first start your car it is programed to turn the traction control on (IF YOUR CAR CAME WITH IT ) and you turn it off with the button,
slp traction control module.... plugs in behind the button and when you start your car it (slp traction control module.... ) auto turns tractio control OFF. TO INSTALL plug it in behind the button turn ing,on do not start car for 5 mins, turn off ing. then start car and it will auto turn off each time there after

um... people that can't spend 1/5 second to press the button when they start the car.... buy this overpriced module.....

the purpose is it disable TCS/ASR on start (cause pushing the button is too much work I guess?)

If you DONT have the TCS/ASR button... your car doesn't have it!!! there is more involved than just a button.... (TCS/ASR guys have a 4 channel ABS, big black box w/bunch of wires going to it on passenger side, cable to TB isn't direct from pedal... etc......)))j

I just installed the module and it is not working. Ever since I installed a new stereo, the light on the switch quit working. I went and ordered the slp module first, and it's not functioning at all. Maybe due to the light on the switch being blown, it's not getting the power signal through the switch which would cause it to function correctly. Has anyone had trouble with the light on ASR switch going out, or problems with the module? I'll order the switch right now and hope that it's all good. I have metered the wires, and the ground (pink) wire is working right. THanks......

Don't forget, it's for the forgetful as well. Speaking of myself. I finally got the module to work. For some reason you have to let it sit for a while after initial installation in order for it to be effective. The instructions say to let the car idle for 5 mins. Then wait 10 secs with the car/ignition off, and it should work. I tried that many times last night. But over night it has come to life, one less button to push (and remember) everytime I drive somewhere........

It's good to have...I don't have one on mine but have been meaning to pick one up. I've embarrased myself many a time on the street racing someone and the pedal is kicked back in my foot! DOH!!

If yours doesnt have the button to turn it off, then its not turned on....and thats because you dont have traction control. I would recommend buying it, and then when you figure out it wont work, you could sell it to me at half price

I have it, too. But here's my problem; sometimes it doesn't work and when I start the car my ASR is on. Because I have the module I tend not to check to see if it's on. Then when I get on it......boom! my foot is kicked off the pedal. I guess a good rule of thumb would be to check the status every time you start the car.
