Default a4 computer with turbo 400 transmission

I have a 2000 pcm and ls1 edit, I have a turbo 400 transmission in the car. Can you guy tell me what I need to do to the transmission section to get this car to drive correctly?

All you need is the speedo hooked up. Beyond that the computer will not control anything else in the trans, but it may need a speed input that the th400 can provide. What problems are you having?

Without the computer being modified, doesnt it still see the car is in park? So timing and fueling would be off to go WOT?

Base spark tables are activated by MPH. Technically, I think you can get away with running just one table. I'd guess this works since there isn't as much of a low rpm load on the drivetrain with an aftermarket converter. Once you're above a certain MPH though, it's using the high/low octane tables, which refer to RPM and airflow.

So if the computer has a speed signal then it will work fine? No fueling depends on anything the stock tranny provides? Thanks for the info.

Also Im guessing on a turbo car, with it on the brake the car uses the "in park" timing table, then as soon as it moves and sees mph it references the high and low octane tables. I may need to change the timing table for when I am on the brake,k does all of this sound right?

No, it also uses TPS to change which table it will reference. I have Jen's race car setup to activate the Primary Spark table at 2% TPS, and when logged you will see it does select a different table (if the values are not identical on both table ... then it would matter). So to activate the main spark tables you only really need TPS input, not really the speedo. We have no speedo in our race car and as I said, it references both Idle and Maim spark table as I have defined.

Where do I change which tabes it uses(like you did with 2% tps)? If I could get it to idle in the park table, then go to the high/low spark advance tables I would be fine. I was going by what was posted earlier on the computer using mph to change from tables.
