hey guys i need some serious help. i had computer codes pop up on my car before. the first time is started was at th track about 3 weeks ago. half way down the track on my 1st run, my engine light went on. i pulled codes 0101-maf and 0420- pass cat. so i put new magnaflow high flow cats and flowmaster exhaust catback and slp maf. i cleared the light. now its good. i go for a ride on the highwaya few hrs later and decide ..... let me take for a good run. than you know what happens!!! CHECK ENGINE light pops back after i let off the throttle!!! i go home furious and pull the codes again. what do i get 0101- maf! 0171-system too lean bank 1 and system too lean bank 2 ! WTF!! can anyone help me out? not to mention i need to get an inspection and they wont overlook the engine light.

the maf you usually leave alone as they are good for 500hp. Usually the aftermarket ones will make the car run lean.

 

i agree leave the stock maf on. also how many miles are on the car. nothing about the o2's are coming up correct?

 

i already changed the maf . i put in the slp maf. the o2 codes came up a while ago but not again. the only thing keeps on popping up is teh system is too lean code. nothing else...but when i punch the throttle(as in to race someone) the maf codes come up again

 

you think i have to change the o2's?
