How to change transmission type..

We swapped out a 4l60e for a 6 speed but the computer is throwing some automatic codes. How can you change the tranny type in the vcm?

well I have kind of the same thing but I changed to a 700R4 how do I change that

same probably, 700r4 is a non computer controlled 4L60e so its closer to a manual in the computers eyes, but then again im not sure how much the vss would like that.

Yep, do a complete rewrite with an M6 file. Make sure you copy all your modified tables over, but IIRC, that's it.

Just out of curiousity, what did you guys do for the reverse lockout?
