Default 42# injectors tuning question?

Ok, I have search on here and HPT's forums for the answer to this question but I can really find a straight answer. I have purchased a set of 42.5# injectors and I am planning on installing them tomorrow, but I know I will have to change the flow table in my PCM for the new size. I am using the calculation spreadsheet that was posted RedHardSupra located here:

http://www.transamws6.net/HPTuners/injectors.xls

My question is what do I input for the Injector Rated Fuel Pressure and Injector Rated Flow Rate? I was guessing that I would leave it at 43.5 and change to 42.5, but I remember hearing that an LS1 is actually higher than the 42.5#, more like 48.83# or something like that. Is this correct, and if it is why does it higher then the inj specify?

Thanks
Nkz

The rated flow and pressure are the pressure at which the injector was flowed. The LS1 rail pressure is supposed to be 58psi.

Example. If you were using Ford SVO 42's then you would enter 42 for injector rating, 43.5 for rated pressure and 58 for our fuel pressure.

most injectors are rated at 43.5psi .

the Delphi Lucas injectors i bought show a data sheet on the website.
www.racetronix.com (then click 42# injectors on right) scroll down and see the info.

if you notice they show the rating at 43.5psi and at 58psi
attached is an excel sheet that i made to help on the IFR table.

if you put 43.5psi as your fuel pressure
then 58psi as your actual fuel pressure

and put in 42.5# injectors

it will come out perfect.

now, if you want to put 58psi as your fuel pressure
you will have to put 58 as your actual
and then change the injectors to what they are rated at at 58psi

How much bigger can you go over the stock injectors (2000 LS1 = 26#) without having to reprogram the PCM?

every other change will throw it off. granted, there's enough differences between injectors themselves that there's gotta be some 'slack tolerance' (that's why we have fuel trims) but you're supposed to be helping it with good hardware, not confuse it some more and hope it works it out
