A few weeks ago the plugs got changed on my car. Found out that the Coolant temp sensor got broken. So i replaced the sensor and it felt fine. A few days later it started to act up again.... the temp guage would be all over the place, the rpm's would go up and down.. the car sometimes bogged. So I figured it was a defective sensor... I replaced it with another one. So it has been good for about 2 weeks, maybe a little more. Today I start the car to leave from work and the rpm's are up and down again.. the temp guage is at 100 and will not move now.
what do you guys think it could be? I'm about to bring it to the dealership.. this is so frustrating.

Might be the connector/wiring. Since it's intermitent have someone watch the gauge and move the wires, press on the connector, etc. and see what happens.

Could it be a defective sensor connector or harness? Everytime you change the sensor it gets reconnected, makes good electrical contact for awhile then loses connection?? Just a guess.

I'm not sure guys, It was running fine after the new sensor was put in like 2 weeks ago. I am taking it to the dealership tomorrow. I can't be without the car because of my job. the temp guage goes up and down and up and down and then will stick to 100... the rpm's will be 1500 and than down to 500 and than normal. i looked at the wires and nothing seems to be touching. I will try to see if someone will watch the guage as i play with the wires... thanks guys.

Make sure you give them the whole story, would be a bummer if they just replace the sensor and it works for only 2 weeks again. Make them do a full diagnostics on the circuit - dealer "diagnostic fee" up here is like $86.
