Default Whats the best way to tune?

I am getting ready do do a cam swap in my TA and need opions on the best tune to get, I have heard people talk about speed density, what are the advantages/disadvatages of this? If i stay Mass Air what would be the best tuner program to use...HPtuners, EFIlive, LS1edit? I will be gettin it done at a shop so if you could also let me know what shops, preferably around PA/MD/VA area have that tuning program. Also I saw something about a program called Roadrunner realtime tuner being the best way to tune, is it really the best way to tune? Does anyone know of any shop in this area that have this? I was planning on getting it tuned by Mike at Rapid Motorsports.

the best tune is done by a person who knows what he/she are doing

no tool on the market will make a tune better then the next. In the end its still the person behind the keyboard.

yeah i heard alot of good thing about mike at rapid + he close but i also heard using HPutners on dyno only really tuner for WOT while this roadrunner program will do a better job on WOT and cruising? Just figured i would get some info befro i spend the 500 on tuning

also so going by that post speed density can "loose its tune" over a few months and the only benfit from it would be if i have on of those crazy harrop intakes or blower running 8PSI or more which i dont, so i think i will stick with MAF

yeah i dunno...you have a 98 so you'd need to ask him if he's even got the 98 roadrunner since they arent interchangable with the 99-03 roadrunner...and to be honest in most cases it wont make your tune any better...more then likely it will just take him less time to finish up things like spark/VE/PE tables.

thanks for the info bud, ive been told he is very good at tuning and if roadrunner will just make the tunning go quicker then i will just let him use what he has, i beleive its HPtuners. also a MAF tune wont require a check up every few montsh and it will not "loose its tune" like SD will right?

Well your trims will stiff drift, but the MAF will keep it alot closer than just running SD. But you do need to tune both the VE and MAF to get the best tune possible.
