First, find out what software revision is on it. Then make sure if it has rev. 2.10 or higher, that it has been unmarried from the vehicle it was in. If not, its just a nice scan/live data tool. Any revision lower than 2.10 cannot be unlocked from the car, even when the tune is restored to stock. The revision updates are available to the original owners at no charge.
