easy to use tuner?
I've never touched a laptop loaded with tuning software, but if I did, I'd want a software package that had an intuitive, easy to understand interface. I'm a pictures kind of guy, so to me, display graphics would be VERY important. I would also want software that came with a manual less than 18" thick.
While looking over the shoulder of the guy who is tuning my engine (HPTuners), I was instantly dazed and confused. He was flying from screen to screen looking at tables, charts, graphs, and all kinds of displays that made absolutely no sense at all to me. I've looked at screenshots from F.A.S.T, LS1 -Edit, and HPTuners, and, while I'm sure they are powerful, capable software packages, I couldn't see myself getting comfortable using them.
There was one screenshot I saw, but I forget the name of the package. The displays, at least the ones they chose to show, looked like the dashboard of a car...everything was represented by a gauge, and it looked easy to use. For me personally, power and capability are of no use if I can't learn the software well enough to take full advantagew of it...it's gotta be easily understood, and easy to use. Probably too much to ask for......
