Default Question about VATS bypass.

Ok so im gonna bypass my VATS.
I set my volt meter to 20k and i got a reading of .88. Im guessin that it means 8,800 OH. Radio shack didn't have a resistor for 8,800. Any ideas?

Put A group of resistors together that come close to that sum of 8800 ohms.

did this couple months ago you have to be within the actual 5% key resistance

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but a 8500 or 9000 resistor should work. i know the one in my car fell inbetween the two so i went with the lower one and havnt had a problem.

When connecting resistors together should I solder them together or just electrical tape?

OK I hooked the resistors up today and no juice. The only difference is that now with the resistors hooked up two the wires the security light will stay on the the key is turned as opposed to flashing. Any ideas?

did you use just one resistor or a few of them wired/soder together? if more than one you might want to check the resistance between the two ends just to make sure its still close to the value you need. the light stayin on indicates that the resistance is out of range.

Hooked it up and nothing. Didn't even read the resistance was out of range by keeping the light on. It just started blinking again. Oh yeah and now my battery is dead. This sucks
