Looking for a laptop that will support LS1 edit.
Looking for a laptop that will support LS1 edit. I currently do not have a laptop and wanted some advice as to what laptop I should be looking at. If anyone has a used one with LS1 edit let me know.

do you already own ls1edit? you could find super cheap laptops that will run edit just fine off of ebay. If you don't own the software yet consider looking at www.hptuners.com
You can just about use any laptop you want with that software. It is a pretty basic program and doesnt require anything fancy. Usually the used 300 dollar ones work fine.
The only thing to look for is to make sure that the laptop has serial cable plug in on it. If you want to use an easier program than ls1edit I would suggest Efilive or another software. With efilive i give you a free tune to help you get started learning.

The new nc6000 series from hp has serial. Plus its the new core 2 duo which is 64bit and has vt extentions for hardware virtualization. Well under $1000 if you are looking for a full featured laptop. Also has sd card reader.
