Tuning Differences Between 350LT1 & LT1 Stroked To A 383?
Tuning Differences Between 350LT1 & LT1 Stroked To A 383? How much difference in the timing tables for a 350LT1 and a LT1 punched out to a 383? I have a friend that had a tune for his 350 then rebuilt is motor and stroked it to a 383. He is still using the same 350 tune. How badly will this hurt his times?
He said it pulls hard to 1/8 (1/8 mile 7.8 @ 88MPH, ¼ in 12.25 @110Mph) mile then loses time up top. I am wondering if it gets to lean up top with a 350 tune?
Any thoughts on this?

I just built a 383 LT1 for my 95 Z28. It has shorty headers,edelbrock stock replacement head(mildly worked), 1.7 rockers,slp cat back with no cat,small cam 206/214 @.050. After reading the scantool I was surprised to see how close the tune was. I mean I tweaked in some shift points but that was just about it. I was also surprised to see that with the stock injectors and stock tune it was actually a little rich in PE mode.
