Can a tune go bad?
Can a tune go bad? My car has suddenly developed a miss or slight backfire that only happens at or near wot. The strange part is that sometimes when this happens, my tach drops to zero as if the engine had died, but it is still running normally. Rev the engine slightly and the tach will come back. This happened months back and after many attempts at diagnosis and many replaced parts, disconnecting the battery for a weekend cleared the condition up. This time seems to be the exact same problem. Any ideas on what is causing this? By the way, the first time this happened was after I swapped my battery in and out at the track to loan it to another car that had a dead battery. Please help!
