Default Car is throwing code...will it affect OBD II test?

Plugged in my scanner and my car is throwing code PO123 -"TPS/pedal position sensor A circuit high input." Anybody know WTF that means and if it will cause me to fail an OBD II emissions test?

you will fail a OBD2 test with any code being thrown.

Is it a "history" code? Does the SES illuminate when you turn the key on? You can look up the code at gearchatter.com

It doesn't matter, you will still fail if a code is current or history.
