It looks like us Ls1techies are gonna have to save our X-mas $s for January for the 99-00 PCM locked single user version. I looking forward to it!
Thanks to Dave @ carputing for this update:
"Hi Todd,
The unlimited-PCM version software is complete. We are working
on the user documentation right now, and then will announce this
product. It will support 99/00 LS1 and a few LS1-variant trucks.
Next we will have the 97/98 unlimited-PCM version ready to go.
Right after that we will have the PCM-locked version ready. I'd
guess it should be done in 2 months.
If you are interested in the unlimited-PCM version (usually
purchased by tuner shops), please let us know, we can get you pricing.
If you are interested in the PCM-locked version, please check back
in January.
Thanks,
Dave @ carputing.com"

I for one don't share your enthusiasm.
OK, if I read this right, a 2nd unlimited version will be out before the first single user version.
I guess I can't blame them for following the best market strategy, but many people have been waiting 2 months now for going on a year.
Does LS1-Edit have any competition with a ready product?

I am going to help them beta test the single user version for the 99 LS1 Fbody. I let you know something when I get something done with it. <img src="images/icons/grin.gif" border="0">

Yes the hardware changed again, but it's not a drastic change like the 97-98 vs. the 99-00. The 01-02 is very similar to the 99-00 version.

Good point, but I got the impression the first thing you did was download YOUR PCM programming into the LS1 Edit software and tweak from there. I was just wondering if the "format" of the parameters themselves (not necessarily the values) are different for '01+ (ie. one year the A4 shift points run off of RPM while other years it runs off of MPH).
