NEWBIE DFi questions Well, im researching a BS3/GEN VII/XFi for my Trans am build. I want to know some things, about it. I will be turbocharging, and most likely using an LS2 intake. I want to know:
1) Is it reliable, on the street everyday. i heard you have to rid the stock ecm...
2)do i retain the wiring harness?
3)does it know that my 95 t/a doesnt have an LT1 in it anymore? now an Ls2
4)is it good to use for a 2 bar SD, on a Turbo stroker?
5) which one do i go with? the bs3? the fast? ...
if you wanna throw some things in please do... i am in need of this info to continue my project... thanks guys

My $.02... **It's as reliable as the quality of the install. The componetry is good to go on the street.
**I doubt much of the harness will work, due to totally different engine operating system.
**Any system you install, will know only what you set it up for. The base system must be purchased w/ the correct harness, and sensors, for the engine.
** Again, you will have to program the system to recognize the sensor, 1, 2,3 ,4 bars.. The ECM does only what you tell it to.
** I've used the FAST, and the Accel GEN7+. Both systems have good features.. some not so good. I'd suggest a search on the BS3, and draw your own conclusions.

If you think that you will need local dyno tuning and support, go with the system that your local shop sells and/or is familiar with. We get many calls from many desparate people who need help tuning on brands of systems that we, or no one else in our area, support.
