Does a P0106 code affect tune/power?

Does a P0106 code affect tune/power? I'm throwing a P0106 (MAP sensor) code after my cam install, and from what I understand, the MAP values just need to be raised @ idle. Problem is that I'm 4 hours away from Revxtreme (where I got my car tuned). So I was wondering if the sensor is just whining & tripping the light, or will it affect things like fuel trims, timing, etc. and reduce power?
