When im spraying my nitrous, do i need to run my IAT or can i not use it. My nitrous will be spraying right at it and ill prob. get a false reading correct?? Or can i relocate it further down the intake tube?
I don't think you would want to spray it though the maf. As far as I know, if it alters the air temp reading to a colder temp it would want to add more timing on a stock pcm which would be the opposite of what you would want to do with nos. IMO

It adds more fuel to accomodate Running a dry shot through the MAF is a really simple way of doing things. I did a 100 shot like that and the tune itself didn't need to be adjusted much at all, the maf pretty much took care of it.

Ummm...I'm not sure what's going on with your PCM, but mine doesn't add any timing based on IAT settings (still stock)....and those don't even become active until ECT is over 150*F. From there, there's a multiplier based on RPM that is referenced to in addition to the IAT table, which only subtracts timing as stated above with stock settings. It's the ECT table that will add timing during colder coolant temps (again based on a multiplier and RPMs).

A dry shot will need to be sprayed through the MAF to get accurate fueling (unless you have a SD tune specifically for N20 - I've only seen one person do it this way though). The vast majority of dry shot users go through the MAF. It wouldn't hurt to take a little timing out, use a colder plug, or both. Get your AFR in the 11.8~12.0 range on the juice and you should be set. As for false temps....the IAT doesn't really react fast enough to give accurate temps. As far as I'm concerned, they're somewhat false most of the time. You stick an IAT sensor next to a hot, metal MAF end and it'll give you some false readings for sure. Not much you can do about it aside from relocating it.
