Upgrading the OS on a 99 Silverado w/Flashscan
Upgrading the OS on a 99 Silverado w/Flashscan If I want to upgrade the OS for a 99 Silverado do I first have to upgrade to a more recent GM OS and then upgrade again to one of EFILive's Custom OSs or can I just go directly from the 99 GM OS to the Flashscan Custom OS? I get the impression when reading the EFILive Auto VE tutorial that I have to do this in two steps. What sequence do I have to follow and what is the best GM OS and EFILive Custom OS to use for a truck that has all of the top end mods, but is still N/A.

foff is correct. It is done in two steps. The tutorial explains how to do it and what OS to use. If you have any problems, let me know and we will get you straighted out. I am going to be working on some custom os's here in the next week that will help you guys when applying these to your vehicles.
