Default Free PCM Diagonostic software

I just bought ah Elm scan 5 that uses the USB interface cable but the software they sent with it was crap so does anybody know a good but free scanning software i can get

That's gonna be tough to find. Anyone that's put effort into a scan tool is going to want some return on investment.

If you could get ahold of an Autotap V1 cable they have a version of software on their FTP that doesn't require a license to run.

cheap, only $34 if you have your cable already, works with Elm.

I ordered my elm327 cable last week...still waiting on it from China.

go to ebay, search for ELM327

some of the vendors there list all the software that will work, free and pay versions.
