knock sensor code..

Default knock sensor code..

besides knock obviously what would throw this code?? any thing i can do to prevent it? 98 z28 130k on the clock...

A bad sensor, or connection at the sensor. They are known for getting water erosion.

Engine knock will not set a knock sensor code. It is either a sensor, wiring, or connector problem if a code sets.

Yea. Seems like it should set a engine code when it does have knock. Thats GM

check your connections and the wiring going to them, could have just come undone.

i got it clear and it came back on 5 minutes later...you think its rusted or somethign?

what sensors do i need to replace them with? ls1/ls6 or will the ls2's work?

Ive got the exact same problem.. out beside the DTC it says immature and some other things in parenthesis out beside it. Ive checked the scanner and there is no knock retard on mine either. Ive still got the stock LS1 intake dont you have it to 98hardtopZ? So the knock sensor never been messed with.
