What does O2 sensor read during valve float?
How should the reading of a wideband O2 sensor change as valves begin to float? I would think you would see a false lean as unburnt air/fuel escapes the combustion chamber - however ive seen at least one dyno where the AFR held steady as valve float occured.

When you get valve float, it usually occurs one valve at a time and progresivily gets worse as more valves join in as the RPM goes up. So if you are monitoring a non offending bank with a wide band, it will continue to read as if there is no problem if the opposite bank is misfiring. However, if you are logging both banks narrow band too, you will usually see a voltage reduction in one bank's O2 if the float gets bad enough.
