at what rpm do i shift?
at what rpm do i shift? sorry i dont have a graph, but i reached peak HP @ 6400-6500, the limiter is set to 6700, on the graph it was flat from 6500-6700 w/ mayby a 5hp loss, my question is what is the ideal rpm shift point?

In theory, when you can average the most HP in each gear. If you peak at 6500 and drop 1500 in each gear means that you should shift at 7250. But this is assuming that you have a perfect symetrical power curve throughout this 1500 RPM range and that you spend the same amount of time at each RPM point. We don't, so in practice you don't take it that high, it is usually 400-500 RPM above peak for most engines like yours for a ballpark estimate. Some shift at a different RPM point in each gear due to the varying RPM spreads per gear. Experimentation works best.
