200mph speedo calibration
200mph speedo calibration I am thinking about getting a 200mph speedometer but don't want to pay to have it calibrated.
If you have any type of handheld programmer or software you should be able to adjust tire size.

For the calculations we assume the car is a 2002 Camaro SS with 17" wheels, 275/40-17 tires and 155mph guage.
Enter Stock Tire Size 275/40-17
Enter New Tire Size 195/85-20
When the vehicle speedometer indicates 155 the vehicle speed is actually 199.63562442467017
At 200mph your speedo would only be off by .365 of 1mph.
Sound right?

I sent my speedo off to Granatelli Motorsports about 2 1/2 years ago and got the 200 MPH speedo. They supposedly reset your gauge to read correct. I don't know cuz my car STILL isn't ready to drive
