Smile ls1 Edit question

Hi, I am new to the modern muscle car tuning.I have a 2001 WS6 TA 6 speed.I want to install LT headers, heads and mild street cam .My question is, is LS1 Edit a software program that is user friendly or is this a gearheaders nitemare? Will this software tune more than one car or does it lock on to only your cars vin.?I like doing all my own mods.but I am a mechanical kind of a person not electronic.I just don't want to get in over my head with doing my own tuning with this software program.Would like to here your advice and experiences with this software.
Thanks

LS1edit comes with 1 pcm locked license last I checked & it was roughly another $150 to add another license to it, a very basic beta version type scanner, no custom operating systems, etc.

Basically very basic tool with little to no support.

It is 50 to add another to the licence. Actually cheaper than EFILive. Or at least that is the price that Ken Kelly told me. Might have to double check on that one as it has been a year or two. It does tune more than one car provided that you pay for each. I think the limit is four for cable. It flashes fairly quick.

The scanner didn't work for me.

LS1Edit works pretty good and is stable. Not much of a GUI. Half the features of EFILive. If you are a power user you will hate it. If you want the basics it is great.

I was a LS1Edit user for a while and it was great. Just switched to EFILive and it is like a four year old opening a box of candy.

Don't know anything about HPTuners, though.

not according to their current orders page, its $100 for each new pcm license + $50 handling fee.

Thanks so far but how hard are these to tune with.Would I be better to pay some one to tune it after I get all my mods on?
Thanks

its really your decision...If you have some computer knowledge & general engine knowledge you'll do fine, just start slow read our help file & view our demo's to get a feel for everything & just ask questions if you don't know something. Personally I had no tuning knowledge going in...just asked alot of questions to the right people & never looked back. I still consider tuning software the best investment I ever made.
