Default 98 to 99+ pcm

Can you swap pcms to do this? If so is it as easy as swapping the ecms and if you cant do it why not.

There are several threads on why this won't work without a lot of rewiring or possibly changing the entire instrument cluster. GM screwed the '98 buyers.

I was in Bahrain early this year on business, too bad we didn't meet up. The swap is not impossible but well worth it if you have any future Forced Induction/ NO2 plans. After the swap you can run EFI Live's Custom Operating Systems that will support big power and drivability.

I need to swap my instrument cluster anyways so that's not a issue. If that's the biggest issue then I'm cool but Ill try a search also. I just didnt know how to word the search.
Any time youre back in Bahrain let me know. Ill be around for at least another year.

I did a search (what I shouldve did to begin with) and I now see this isnt as simple as I thought. The only reasons I wanted to do it was so I could purchase a handheld tuner but now I'm told SCT makes one for the 98's so all I really need now is to get my hands on a 98 cluster and I'll be in like Flynt.
