Wink Another Gauge Cluster Question?

Okay, looked in the Archives, did not find my out my answer clearly. Will a 2000 Cluster work with a 2000 Cluster? , I saw a post on a 99 did work with a 99, I just bought this car and it has a white orange flame RK motorsports front gauge cover,I hate this, I want to put the stock black face back on,and found out the one from my 98 did not work, I'm assuming from alot of the posts from the archives that the same years will interchange the same gauge faceplates and work. Before I go spending the money, I want to be 100 percent sure. Thanx for you input. DoubleK

98 is different from the 99+.
99+ are interchangeable.

(edit - I thought you were wanting to swap the whole gauge cluster, but after re-reading your post 2 more times, I think you're just wanting to swap faces from one cluster to another - in that case I don't know the answer...)

Yes the unit separates, but all I want to do is take the black front face off another 2000 cluster, and put in onto my 2000 Cluster, this wasy I replace that ugly ***, RK motorsports front flame piece with those gauges, the face that sticks to the plastic does not come off... THanx for input.

After reading your post many times I believe the answer you are looking for is YES. However, by R+Ring the faces you will also be swapping the boards with the electronics, most importantly the odometer. Legally you would have to get the new dash recalibrated to your milage.

Wink

The black face is not the odometor, the odometor is on the back piece, the odometer breaks down into three pieces, the plastic outer piece, your black gauge face, and the back piece that receives the black gauge piece. Odometer will not be affected, just have to make sure the black gauges will plug into correctly to my back piece. If the gauges are not the same, they will not work. Sounds like the answer is about ninety percent it will work, thats still not good enough for me to buy another cluster. Can anyone tell me 100 percent that this will work? THanx for input.
