exhaust changing tune
are there any potential tune problems running a stock catback most of the time and then running a cutout open when i'm gonna really do some dragging. don't have a wideband yet so i haven't been able to check how much afr changes. does the computer compensate enough for this drastic of a back pressure change? and could the stock catback's back pressure hurt motor in any way, or just kill power?

Anytime the engine breaths better, it will lean out some. Whether you take the air filter out or relieve a restriction in the exhaust, it has the same effect. I took the filter out after a dyno pass and noticed a 0.2~0.4 difference in my recorded AFR on the next run. If your car is tuned to run 12.8-13.0 on the stock exhaust setup, you might want to have it richened up a bit for when you open the cutout.
