Default 6.0 Popping

I Just Installed A 6.0/4l60e In My 68 Chevelle
When The Car Is Decelerating It Seems To Be Popping Out The Exhaust.
What Is The Next Step That I Would Try To Figure Out The Problem
I Seem To Have Approx 48 Lbs Fuel Pressure.
If I Was To Buy One Of The Aftermatket Systems Would It Be Able To Tell Me If There Was Something Wrong With My Fuel Curve?
Thanks
Eric

What tuning software are you using? have you done any research on this issue? I keep seeing turning DEFCO ON for that...... i had a problem with popping on acceleration but no problems on deceleration, i had the throttle cracker turned up/on still not sure what it does or why it's there but once it was turned off everything worked better.

DFCO is only used on decelleration. It has nothing to do with popping on accell.

Throttle cracker too should not be effecting accelleration popping.
It Adds air to keep the vehicle from stalling while the vehicle is in motion. A stalled vehicle means no brakes. So it is a safety add on to make sure a stall never happens.

IF THE POPPING CHANGES when you are adding or pulling from that table, then i would say it is effecting your fuel ratio, So, i would be checking for a major lean condition.

Well the throttle cracker was effecting it. Turning it off resolved my issue.

Also he said "When The Car Is Decelerating It Seems To Be Popping Out The Exhaust."

So that would be decel lol

Why don't you try helping this guy out? I was trying to give him a hand, I wasn't asking for help but thanks for explaining what the throttle cracker does though.

first I would make sure that all the AIR stuff is off and sealed up. if its pulling air into the exhaust, that'll make it backfire. Next thing I would check for is the timing. if the timing is too retarded at high vacuum/RPM, (decel) you end up with excess fuel in the pipes that then get lit by the heat of the pipes and you get pop, pop, pop. Also too much fuel will do it.
