code 42:ESC grounded problem

code 42:ESC grounded problem well since i got the new motor in ive been having trouble with 2 codes and ive just driven with them and now cant get inspection because of it...the car is pulling up two codes... code 42:esc grounded and code 43: esc failure when i read the cars computer it comes up with 1900 knock at idle and goes up as rpm goes up (BUT THERE IS NO KNOCK)and its retarding the spark 6 degrees until you get the around 1800 rpm..and then its fine...but i have to get my ses light off and its not happening because i can only tune out code 43 by tuning out the knock sensor...it has to be wiring related but i have gone through everything and even changed pcms with another one and the codes just come back up and just stumped and have no idea what to do now...btw my car is a 97 car w/ a 95 camaro OBD1 conversion
