Default 97-98 or 99-02 PCM?????????

Im looking to drop a 98 motor in my 71 Pickup. The motor will have 241 heads on it. My question was, since this is just going to be a show truck can I just use the 98 PCM or should I upgrade to the 99-up?

If it doesn't cost anymore, get a 2001 or 2002 PCM and wire harness, better OS and they don't have the EGR.

Both will accomplish your goals, just get what is more cost effective to you and is readily available. If you already have the '98 ECM and harness, no need to speed more money to go to a '99 up setup, unless you can ofset the cost and really want the newer stuff.

I already have th 98 PCM and had been tuned already for the cam and has the vats deleted. Also the the 97-98 harness is about 250 cheaper then a 99-up.

Thanks
