Individual selectable tunes?
I was talking to a friend today about his STi and he's got the TurboXS UTEC. He's got a pig tail harness with a selector on it with 5 individual maps that he can change with the flick of a switch. Would this be possible to run on an LS1 PCM or even BS3?

The latest tuning tool the LS1 PCM has available for it is the RoadRunner from Moates.net. It offers real-time tuning by incorporating a second memory area to work in. The car can run from this "real-time" memory or from the on-board Flash.
The EPROM based PCMs made this feature easy to accomplish. On-board Flash makes it more difficult to engineer switchable calibration images.

You could do it if you made an emulator chip that soldered to the board. Like the roadrunner, but selectable tunes.
For the most part, it is not necessary to do this. In the ford tuning world, we have chips that allow this, but most cars, the other positions are n20, or bad gas tunes.
