Default P1336 Code - crank position sensor - multiple times what is causing?

Hi there,

I got this P1336 code about a month after the first time I got an exchange PCM and used a Diablosport predator. From what I have read this is "somewhat" normal, so a nice LS1tech fella did the relearn procedure for me in all of 5 minutes.

Car was fine for a couple months, then winter rolled in, and the car was stored. Battery was left connected and she started right up come March, so the car always had juice.

I got it back out a couple weeks ago, and after a couple drives I was rewarded with this goddang code again.

What causes this? What could really be wrong?

Obviously I don't want to take the car into the dealership but I don't want this ses light on. I still have a GM basic guard warranty that might help...

Any thoughts about why the code would come back? Any chance it would be covered under basic guard?

Tks.

bad sensor or possibly a the timing chain skipped a tooth on the gear. How does the car run?
