donno how much money u have but u should be able to tuck it away and used a seperate moniter, cordless mouse and keyboard. otherwise, u might be able to find a mount that goes on the right side of the tranny tunnel like the old cd player conversions had.

is my current, it's much sturdier, but I liked the jotto desk cause I could lower the laptop display all the way down

got mine from ebay.45-55 bucks with a quick disconnect. it's mostly straight piping and a couple of bent piping, a black plastic tube cover to make it look smooth when it's actually piping, the top is a plastic piece with a 90* lip, a velcro strap, and mounting hardware. mounting surface to the car is a circular piece with 4 holes. i had to cut my bottom mounting piece up to get it to bolt into my camaro. not very sturdy mounting it with 1 seat bolt.
if you have time to get the parts yourself, i can post some pics of the actual parts. i ended up using some piping i had and not using some from the kit to make it sit where i wanted it to be. if i had the time, i'd make a custom one.
if you don't have time, just buy the one from ebay with a quick disconnect.
not many passengers are going to be comfortable with it in place.

the afterthoughts one is the first one i bought... (it's a jottodesk)
Very well designed, full adjustable, no modifications needed. Uses straps to hold the laptop down so you can close the lid fully, also you can get an optional piece that holds the laptop display so it doesn't flap all over
The RAM desk I bought a few years later is even more robust (designed for police use), but only bad thing is you can't lower the laptop display all the way
